Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys

Reviewed By: K.W.

This book is Historical fiction. It contains three different main characters that change perspective each chapter. This takes place in East Prussia in 1945, when the Soviet Union is currently taking over.

Why I Picked It Up: I picked this book up because I honestly had no idea what this was about. I had originally thought that both the title and cover of this book was interesting. When I had checked the book out, a couple of teachers had told me that it was amazing!

Why I Finished It: I finished this book because originally, it was quite boring, but as I eventually continued reading, I was VERY hooked.

I’d Give This Book To: I would recommend this to grades 6+ because, in my opinion, this might be a bit too hard to understand for anyone at a younger age.
