Awkward by Svetlana Chmakova

Reviewed By: K.W.

This book is a graphic novel. It revolves around two characters names Penelope and Jaime (hi-may). Two clubs, an art and science, compete with each other in everything they do. Eventually, this competing gets too out of hand.

Why I Picked It Up: I picked this up because I was a part of the Book Club at the time, and the 6th graders had voted to read this book.

Why I Finished It: I finished this book because, just like I had said before, I was in our Book Club and the 6th graders had voted to read this book.

I’d Give This Book To: I would recommend this book to grade levels 3+. Sure, you could read this in a much higher or lower level, but you might either not understand it (lower) or not be interested in it (higher).
