The Fourteenth Goldfish by Jennifer L. Holm

Reviewed By: A.T.
Ever wonder about the secret to immortality?? Ellie never has, but that might be because she has other things to worry about, like losing her best friend or starting 6th grade! She doesn't have time to worry about the pimply faced weird boy on their doorstep who is insisting he is her Grandpa Melvin. I mean, he couldn't be...could he?? Grandpa Melvin is a scientist, and he has been obsessed with immortality, but he's OLD! Discover what happens to Grandpa Melvin, Ellie, and what's really up with her goldfish that seems to live forever!
Why I Picked it Up:This book came highly recommended to me, and I actually listened to the audiobook. It was super cute, funny, and it even made me cry!
Why I Finished It:Once you get started, you can't stop with this family! You will read this book just so you can find out what happens to grumpy Grandpa Melvin!
I’d Give this Book To:I would recommend this to middle school students who like light-hearted and funny books, and also to kids who are looking for a quick read.
