Bleach by Tite Kubo

Bleach is about a boy named Ichigo Kurosaki who, while his family is being attacked by 'hollows', or restless and evil souls, gets soul reaper powers from a mysterious girl named Rukia Kuchiki. Together, Rukia and Ichigo fight the hollows throughout the manga. Unfortunately, giving a mortal human soul reaper powers is against the 'soul society' (the afterlife run by soul reapers) is illegal and punishable by death at worse. Now, Rukia, Ichigo, and their band of friends must fight the soul reapers themselves, along with many other foes!
Why I Picked it Up: I picked up this manga because I am a huge manga/anime junkie and can't get enough of Japanese Animation. The characters became very special to me and I might have a poster of one or two in my room... Also, the plot is very deep and never stops escalating!
Why I Finished It: I haven't finished the series yet, but I am on Volume 9. I can't wait to find out the end but at the same time, don't want the adventures to end. Hopefully, the author doesn't end the series without a sequel!
I’d Give this Book To: I would recommend this manga to (of course) any manga or anime lovers, but also to American comic lovers as well. Also, anyone who enjoys reading supernatural and action books but doesn't mind the story in graphics would love this manga too!
