The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin

Reviewed By: A.C.
This is the first book in the trilogy that is part fantasy, part romance, and a big part psychological thriller. Mara Dyer is a 16 year old girl who moves from her hometown in Rhode Island to Miami because she blew up the local unused asylum...with her boyfriend and BFF in it! The worst part is that no one believes she was responsible. They all think it's the PTSD and guilt talking, but she can hurt people. She can make bad things happen to those who hurt her, in the most gruesome ways possible. Mara wants to find out why but who will ever believe her?
Why I Picked it Up: It looked interesting.
Why I Finished It: I WANT TO KNOW EVERYTHING!
I’d Give this Book To: Everyone! Especially if you like fantasy, romance, and psychological thrillers.

**Librarian Side Note** The reviewer mentioned this above, but this is the first book in a series. All 3 of the books are published and available for check out at the Library, so go get the first book and get started today!!
