False Prince by Jennifer A. Nielsen

Reviewed By: A.T.
Meet Sage, a orphan from Avenia being raised in a neighboring land known as Carthya. As an orphan, Sage has mastered the art of pickpocketing and thievery, but it's mainly to help make sure that he and his fellow orphans are able to eat. Then one day he is purchased by a man named Connor, along with three other orphans from across the land. From these four orphans, Connor plans to create the next King of Carthya, but Connor definitely got more than he bargained for when he bought Sage. Follow these boys as they complete a crash course in royalty and compete to be the next King. Will Connor's plan work? Will Sage be able to step up and be who he was born to be? Read the book to find out!
Why I Picked it Up: I picked this up because it came highly recommended to me from several people, and I was told the audio book was fantastic.
Why I Finished It: It had a great ending! I didn't see it coming! I loved it so much I had to go out and get the second book right away.
I’d Give this Book To: EVERYONE! There's a little bit of everything in this story, and I think there's something to please everyone. Royalty, secrecy, survival, and intrigue!

**Librarian Side Note** This is the first book I have read off of the new 2015 Rebecca Caudill Nominee list, and it was a great start! If you like audio books, I highly recommend this title. Also, don't be put off by the fact that this is a trilogy. The book does a great job of wrapping up the story while leading you to the next book. You'll want to read it right away.
