Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

Reviewed By: A.T.
One of the best books I have read in a really long time. The main characters in this book are Eleanor and Park, both high school students feeling a bit lost and alone in beautiful Omaha, Nebraska (that's a bit of sarcasm if you can't tell!). A chance meeting on the school bus brings these two seemingly outcast teens together and their romance starts over bus seating, mix tapes, and comic books. (If you don't know what a mix tape is, or a cassette tape...LOOK IT UP!) Told in alternating POVs (that means you get into both Eleanor and Park's head) you won't want to put this book down as their life and love unfolds. And you won't believe the ending!
Why I Picked it Up: I picked this up because it came highly recommended to me from several people, and for some reason I've really been into reading books set in the 1980s lately.
Why I Finished It: Once you start, you won't be able to stop! I had to find out how their story ended!
I’d Give this Book To: EVERYONE! I have recommended this to so many people (guys and girls), and I even bought a couple of copies to give out as gifts this past holiday season!

**Librarian Side Note** I am so glad to see that this book made it on the 2015 Abraham Lincoln Award Nominee list. I am also not surprised, either. If you read one book off that list, I suggest you pick this one. But seriously, once you get a glimpse of how awesome the 2015 nominees are, you will probably want to read ALL the books on the list, just like me! :)
