The Bone Season by Shannon Samantha

Reviewed By: A.C.
This is a dystopian society book about clairvoyants. These people are like mediums, in that these people can connect to the "other side". However, in this case they connect to the aether, an other world that contains monsters, light, fear, and a whole new race of people/creatures. Based in London, the world fears the clairvoyant and they are outlawed. But that doesn't stop groups from forming and selling their talents to people. As a "voyant", Paige tries to remain incognito, but that flies out the window when she is kidnapped by the creatures from the aether and forced to work and kill for them.
Why I Picked it Up: I picked this book up because it was new.
Why I Finished It: I finished this book because it was awesome!
I’d Give this Book To: I would recommend this book to fans of fantasy, sci-fi, mystery, and lovers of all things British!

**Librarian Side Note** This is the first book in a planned seven book series! There has been much talk about this author as the next J.K. Rowling, so get in on the action today and so you can say you were a fan from the very beginning!
