Really creepy, really good. A girl in a witness protection program, hiding from something she doesn't know and only vaguely remembers. But only when she uses her magic. That's right...magic! She has amazing powers that she doesn't know how to use or how to control, or how she got them or where she's from. But as soon as she tries to use them, she blacks out and has visions from her past, and loses the next couple weeks of her life. There are other magic kids, one claims he is her boyfriend, but she likes a library boy instead. There are some gruesome murders in this book, and the source? A top-hatted magician serial killer.
Why I Picked it Up: I picked this book up because it was new.
Why I Finished It: I finished this book because it was so creepy I had to find out more!
I’d Give this Book To: I would recommend this book to fans of murder mystery and magic people!
**Librarian Side Note** Besides also being a fan of magic and mystery, I feel like I have to recommend this book because the main characters day job is shelving books at the local library! Yay Library workers!
