After Ever After by Jordan Sonnenblick

This book is about a boy named Jeffrey (who was in the first book, "Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie") and had suffered from Leukemia. In this book, Jeffrey meets another cancer patient/survivor, Tad, who will become his best friend . Over the course of his eighth grade year you learn about Jeffrey's love life, about what it's like to suffer from cancer, and just how hard it is to have cancer. You also find out that his older brother, the main character from the first book, has left at the worst time for Jeffrey.
Why I Picked it Up: I picked this book up because I had a friend tell me about it.
Why I Finished It: I finished this book because it was intriguing.
I’d Give this Book To: I'd recommend this book to teen aged people.
**Librarian Side Note** If you couldn't tell by the review, this is a sequel to novel "Drums, Girls, & Dangerous Pie" by the author Jordan Sonnenblick. The first book follows the life of older brother Steven, who's in eighth grade. In the first book, Jeffrey is just 4 years old when he's diagnosed with Leukemia, but in the second book, that's all about Jeffrey, he's just starting 8th grade, just like his brother in the first book. Hopefully that's not too much of a spoiler for the first book! Check them both out in the Teen Area today!
