Burn for Burn by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian

Wow! Where to start...I think the first line in the front flap says everything you need to know about this book: "Big girls don't cry...They get even." Such is the start for a delicious revenge novel starring 3 high school girls from different circles. Lillia and Kat may have been friends at one time, but that hasn't been the case for at least the last four years of high school. And then there is Mary, a quite girl who also grew up on the island they all live on, but managed to fly under the social radar for so long that no one realizes she's not a "new girl" but rather a townie. Despite what they think are differences, the girls end up finding each other and uniting their lives in ways they never thought possible, and coming together to wreak havoc and revenge on those that hurt them the most. Without giving anything away, be sure that the girls get what they after, but so much more! Will they be able to turn the tables on Rennie, Reeve and Alex? Or have the girls tipped the scales of karma in the wrong direction? Definitely read this book to find out!
Why I Picked it Up: I originally picked this book up because of the author (Jenny Han wrote the Summer I Turned Pretty series, and Siobhan Vivian wrote The List - all great books!) I was a little miffed when I found out it was part of a series, because I need another trilogy like I need another book to read, but boy am I glad I picked it up! Plus, the second book is finally out, and it was definitely worth the wait!!!
Why I Finished It: I finished it because I was so wrapped up in the girls lives. This was yet another case where I have been waiting and waiting for the next book to come out!
I’d Give this Book To: Well, any high school aged girl, for sure, and anyone who likes reading about revenge!
**Librarian Side Note** I really enjoyed this book in audio format. There were three different girls who read for each main character, and they did an excellent job! Click here to go to the library catalog to see if it's on the shelf.
