Is He or Isn't He? by John Hall

Reviewed By: M.S.
Paige and Anthony have been best friends for forever and have a plan for their senior year, they both want to get boyfriends...otherwise they will be each other's date for the Senior Prom. Anthony just got done with a nasty relationship with his boyfriend Ian and Paige has gone through one too many situations where the guy was looking for a little bit more than a relationship. So when new guy Max comes to their end of summer party at Anthony's house, they both want him as their own. The only problem, they can't figure out if he's gay or straight. So, Paige and Anthony devise the "is he or isn't he plan". If he's straight, Anthony will keep all the other girls away from him so Paige can snatch him up. And if he's gay, Paige will do everything she can to get him with Anthony. But in order to figure out the answer to this question the two of them try many different techniques, like a movie and a hot tub, to try to figure out the answer. Will one of them get Max in the end? Or will a guy pull apart Anthony and Paige's friendship?
Why I Picked it Up: I saw the title and cover and I knew I had to read that book!
Why I Finished It: It's hard not to. Not only is this book hilarious to read it's a real page turner as well. You get so caught up into the craziness of the "is he or isn't he?" plan that you need to know the answer as much as Paige and Anthony do.
I’d Give this Book To: I guess everyone, or as long as you're someone who's comfortable with the topic of gay or straight. Otherwise it's a really easy, funny and great read for everybody!! I rate it a 5 out of 5!!
