Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse
Reviewed By: C.W.
It is a good story about life in Oklahoma during the Great Depression. It includes deaths, struggles, babies, and food - you can't forget the food. It shows all kinds of dust storms (and what destruction they do) and grasshopper tornadoes (SOOOO COOL!).
Why I Picked it Up: It was all poems, and I love to read poems. I also wanted to try a new kind of book. IT LOOKED INTERESTING.
Why I Finished It: I finished it because it was very interesting and it had a lot of weather - which I LOVE!
I’d Give this Book To: History teachers, my friends and YOU!
