Coraline by Neil Gaiman

Reviewed By: A.T.
I know I just reviewed a book by the same author last week, but since it is the 10th anniversary of this book being published, and the Teen News Blog is all about Coraline, I figured I'd keep up the theme! Coraline and her family have just moved into a new house. On the very first day, Coraline decides to go exploring, and she finds a locked door that leads to nowhere...or so she thinks! One day she finds the key to the door and discovers that it leads to someplace that looks almost exactly like her home, but something is not quite right. At first she thinks it is the most excellent place ever! The food is better, the animals can talk, and even her duplicate parents seem nicer...until she discovers the other children! Will she be able to save the poor children trapped in the other world? Will Coraline ever be able to home again? Read the book to find out!
Why I Picked it Up: I love this author, and I wanted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of this excellent book.
Why I Finished It: There was no way I could start a creepy story like this and not finish...I had to know how it ended.
I’d Give this Book To: Everyone! While the book is a little creepy, it is quite excellent if you can get all the way to the end.
