Enclave by Ann Aguirre

Reviewed By: A.T.
WOW! I read this book and as soon as I finished it I wanted more...luckily it is part of a trilogy! This book features Deuce, a young huntress brought up undground in the Enclave, and Fade, an outsider who was taken in by the underground group. As the story begins, Deuce is going through her naming ceremony and we start to pick up bits and pieces of her life and what happened to the world as we know it. Forced to live by strict rules because they are told it is for their protection, when Fade and Deuce try to warn the Enclave it is to her surprise that they are ignored and scoffed at. What is going on with the Freaks? Is Fade telling the truth about his upbringing? Is everything Deuce knows about the outside (or topside) world wrong? Will the Enclave survive? To find out all this and more, READ THE BOOK!!
Why I Picked it Up: I found the title while researching what to read after the Hunger Games, and this title kept popping up!
Why I Finished It: I could not put it down! I was sucked in just like when I read Hunger Games for the first time.
I’d Give this Book To: Everyone! Especially the people who loved Hunger Games and don't know what to read next! Plus...this is just the first book in the series, but book two is coming out in September!!!
