The Devil's Arithmetic By Jane Yolen

Reviewed By: A.C.
This story is about a Jewish girl in modern times. She goes to celebrate Passover with her family even though she thinks it's a waste of time. As she opens the door in a ceremony, she gets transported back in time to 1934. She becomes another person in history. She is taken to a concentration camp with the other people she is supposed to know in this time. She must live in the camp and try to survive in those awful conditions.

Why I Picked it Up: Because I needed something listen to on a long car trip.

Why I Finished It: Because it was really good, and I wanted to know what happened to the characters.

I’d Give this Book To: Anyone who likes a good historical fiction novel.
